P hnom Penh is the primary gateway to the towns of southern Cambodia with regular buses to and between all major coastal cities. See the Bus Schedule on page 29. Daily air service is available between Sihanoukville and Siem Reap, (see page 30.) NEWS: The trains are running again , offering service between Phnom Penh, Takeo, Kampot and Sihanoukville. See pages 28 and 30 for more. Coastal Cambodia is also easily accessed overland from the neighboring countries. The Cham Yeam crossing with Thailand (near Koh Kong City) and the Prek Chak (‘Ha Tien’) crossing with Vietnam are the primary international gate- ways to southern Cambodia. Transport to the islands near Sihanoukville is also easy these days. Regularly scheduled express ferries run between Sihanoukville and Koh Rong/Koh Rong Sanloem (see page 39.) Boats from Kep to Koh Tunsay (Rabbit Island) are always available (see page 67.) 27
