Hidden Cambodia Adventure Tours Guided dirt bike tours and holidays, specializing in riding and rider training out of Siem Reap all year round. Just off the road to Angkor Wat Tel: 012-655201 www.hiddencambodia.com Getting to/from Siem Reap CambodiaAngkorAir offers daily service to/fromSihanouville. Check with a local tour/travel place for the current schedule. All overland travel between Sihanoukville and Siem Reap passes through Phnom Penh. If you leave early you can get there in a long day, about 9-10 hours. From Siem Reap, fly, bus or taxi to Phnom Penh. Then catch a bus for the 4 hour ride to Sihanoukville. Some bus companies offer a package tickets as well as night buses (though we DO NOT recommend the night buses due to road safety concerns.) Getting around the temple & town Siem Reap city is almost small enough to get around on foot, but not quite. The Angkor Park entrance is 4 kilo- meters from town and the temples inside the park are as much as 3-4 kilometers apart, ordinarily requiring some sort of transportation to tour. Tuk-tuks, motorcycle taxis and car taxis are the most popular forms of transporta- tion. In town it’s always easy to find tuk-tuks and motodups for short trips. Transportation to and around the temples is usually hired by the day. To avoid later misunderstandings make sure to negotiate the details of the driver’s services carefully - exact price, what times you expect the day to begin/end, availability during lunch hours, limitations on your itinerary, extra charges for temple on the ‘Grand Circuit’ or distant temples, etc. Cars/Taxis Private car taxis offer a comfortably air- conditioned way to tour the temples, though they are the most expensive option. Rates start at about $25- $40/day plus additional charges for distant temples off the main circuits. Taxis from the airport to town also offer taxi/tour services to the temples. Grab & Passapp A welcome addition to Cambodia, these app based ser- vices, much like Uber, allow you to get to your destina- tion without haggling with drivers over prices, or being overcharged. Highly recommended. Moto-remorques (‘Tuk-tuks’) Moto-remorques are the most common form of trans- portation in town - the semi-enclosed trailer offering a comparatively pleasant ride. And very easy to find. Just step to the curb and they will find you. For short trips around town, foreigners are expected to pay $1-$3. Bargain! Full day rates for transportation to the temples: $15-$20/day (perhaps a couple dollars less if you bar- gain hard.) Additional charge for distant temples. Motorcycle Taxi (Motodup) Motodups are motorcycles on which the passenger rides pillion. Though motodups are the least expensive motorized option, these days ‘tuk-tuks’ are the most popular. Bargain! Motodups should be a bit more than half as expensive as tuk-tuks. Additional charge for transport to distant temples. Full day rates for trans- portation to the temples: $8-$12/day.

But before visiting the tem- ples you will need to decide how long to stay, purchase admission tickets, arrange transportation and get your- self a guidebook or tour guide. Tickets are sold in one day ($37), three day ($62) and seven day ($72) blocks. Three days is sufficient to visit all of the major temples once, a few of the minor ones and have a little extra time at your favorites. Seven days is enough time to really explore some of your favorite ruins and visit many of the minor structures as well. Temple tour guides can be hired through most hotels and travel agents.
